How to manually Install LiteSpeed on centos 7 or WHM plugin through the means of Ssh as root<\/p>\n

1.Install LiteSpeed WHM plugin<\/strong><\/p>\n

Run the following commands from ssh as root<\/p>\n

cd \/usr\/src\r\nwget http:\/\/www.litespeedtech.com\/packages\/cpanel\/lsws_whm_plugin_install.sh\r\nsh .\/lsws_whm_plugin_install.sh\r\nrm -f lsws_whm_plugin_install.sh<\/code><\/pre>\n
Note: To uninstall WHM LiteSpeed plugin, run command at<\/em><\/p>\n
\/usr\/local\/cpanel\/whostmgr\/docroot\/cgi\/lsws\/lsws_whm_plugin_uninstall.sh<\/code><\/pre>\n

\n2.Install LiteSpeed Web Server\u00a0from within WHM<\/strong><\/div>\n

    Click \u201cLiteSpeed Web Server Plugin for WHM<\/strong>\u201d in \u201cPlugins\u201d section of WHM.<\/strong><\/div>\n
    <\/div>\n<\/li>\n
  2. \n
    Click \u201cInstall LiteSpeed Web Server\u201d<\/div>\n
    <\/div>\n<\/li>\n
  3. \n
    Fill in the form\u00a0to sepecify<\/div>\n
    <\/div>\n

    • \n
      Trial license key or serial number<\/div>\n<\/li>\n
    • \n
      LiteSpeed target installation directory<\/div>\n<\/li>\n
    • \n
      Port Offset ( set to 0 to replace Apache otherwise set a number like \u201c2000\u201d to try LiteSpeed on port 2080 )<\/div>\n<\/li>\n
    • \n
      Whether to enable\u00a0PHP<\/acronym>\u00a0SuEXEC<\/div>\n<\/li>\n
    • \n
      Assign user name and password for LWSW web admin console<\/div>\n<\/li>\n
    • \n
      Your email address as the Administrators email.<\/div>\n
      <\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n

      Click \u201cNext\u201d to install LiteSpeed<\/strong><\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
      If you set Port Offset to \u201c0\u201d, it may stop Apache and start LiteSpeed after a successful installation, you may want to switch back to Apache temporarily as we still need to build\u00a0PHP<\/acronym>\u00a0binary for LiteSpeed.<\/p>\n
      3.Build matching PHP binary<\/p>\n
      <\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

      There is a pre-built\u00a0PHP<\/acronym>\u00a04 binary coming with LSWS, however, you should build your own\u00a0PHP<\/acronym>\u00a0binary using matching configuration options used by Apache mod_php.<\/p>\n
      If LiteSpeed is running, you should switch back to Apache temporarily by clicking \u201cswitch to Apache” link. Then, click \u201cBuild Matching\u00a0PHP<\/acronym>\u00a0binary\u201d link. It is going take a while.<\/p>\n
      4. Start LiteSpeed again<\/p>\n

      Just click \u201cRestart LiteSpeed<\/strong>\u201d Then you can verify if everything works as expected. It should!<\/p>\n
      If \u201cPort Offset\u201d is set to non-zero, you can now replace Apache with LiteSpeed Web Server. Just click \u201cSwitch to LiteSpeed\u201d.<\/p>\n
