Click the Done button to finish.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Now that you have completed installing the\u00a0<strong>fileinfo<\/strong>\u00a0PHP extension from WHM, you can view your phpinfo.php page to confirm it is enabled.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"cli\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Install from CLI<\/h2>\n<p>EasyApache 4 is also designed to allow installation of PHP extensions via the\u00a0<em>Command Line Interface (CLI)<\/em>\u00a0using\u00a0<em>Yellowdog Updater Modified (yum)<\/em>. Again, it is important to note that you need to install the PHP extension\u00a0<u>separately for each PHP version<\/u>.<\/p>\n<p>Also, EA4\u2019s packages for PHP modules and extensions use the\u00a0<strong>ea-php<em>##<\/em>-php-<em>module<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0naming convention. Simply replace\u00a0<em>##<\/em>\u00a0with the PHP version number (for our example: \u201955\u2019, \u201956\u2019, \u201970\u2019, and \u201971\u2019) and\u00a0<em>module<\/em>\u00a0with the name of the PHP module\/extension (\u2018fileinfo\u2019 in our example). The steps below indicate how you can install the PHP extension fileinfo from the CLI using yum.<\/p>\n<ol class=\"article_list\">\n<li>Connect to your server via an SSH connection.<\/li>\n<li>First, update cPanel by running the following command:\n<pre class=\"copy-the-code-target\">\/scripts\/upcp<\/pre>\n<\/li>\n<li>Once \u201cupcp\u201d completes, run the following command:\n<pre class=\"copy-the-code-target\">yum install -y ea-php55-php-fileinfo ea-php56-php-fileinfo ea-php70-php-fileinfo ea-php71-php-fileinfo<\/pre>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<div class=\"alert alert-info\" role=\"alert\"><b>NOTE:\u00a0<\/b>In our example, PHP 5.5, 5.6, 7.0, and 7.1 are already installed on the server. For this reason, our example command includes each of those PHP versions to install the PHP extension, fileinfo, for all the PHP versions that exist on the server. Simply include each PHP version you want to install the extension for in the command you use.
